Shape, Painting and Markings

本モデルはロシア旗艦空母「アドミラルクズネツォフ」で運用されていたSu-33をモデル化したものです。実機に忠実なアウトラインを持ち、アンテナ・プローブ類の省略がない精密なモデルです。巧みなパーツ分割により、パーツ間の隙間が目立たないようになっています。本モデルの上面はライトグレー、スカイラインブルー、ダークグレーブルーの3色迷彩、下面はライトグレーで、レドームはサチンホワイトで塗装されています。モデル表面のマーキング類は全て精密なタンポ印刷にて再現されています。

This is a model of the Su-33 operated on the Russian flagship aircraft carrier “Admiral Kuznetsov”. This model has the outline which is exactly the same as the real plane, and moreover, this is a detailed model without omitting the Antenna/Probe. The gap between the parts doesn’t stand out by elaborate parts division. This model’s upper surface is painted 3 color scheme with Light Gray, Sky Line Blue and Dark Gray Blue. The underside is painted in Light Gray. Radome is painted by Satin White. All markings are printed in great detail on the surface.

Using Display Stand of herpa

本商品は、ヘルパ製 1/72 スケール Su-27 用ディスプレイスタンドで飾ることが出来ます。このスタンドを使えば、No.2ステーションに兵装類を吊り下げることが出来ます。しかしながら、このスタンドは長期間使用しないほうがいいかと思います。エンジンノズルがダイキャストモデルの重量に耐えられず、スタンドから脱落する可能性が高いからです。

You can use the herpa’s display stand for 1/72 scale Su-27. The good point is becoming free space on the No.2 station. So, you can set the weapon here. However, it is better to stop using this stand for a long time. It is highly possible that model may fall out of there, because engine nozzles can not bear the weight of the die-cast model.

Interference between stand prop and missile

飛行姿勢時はスタンド支柱とステーションNo.2ミサイルが干渉する為、ミサイルを取り外す必要があります。
In flight position, You must remove the Sta.2 missile because of interference between stand prop and missile.

Around The Cockpit

コックピットには正面/側面計器盤、ヘッド・アップ・ディスプレーが配置されています。これらは価格相応の出来と言えるでしょう。 本製品にはパイロットフィギュアが付属しますが、レビュアーはフィギュアの出来の悪さゆえ使用しませんでした。代わりにHA5701付属のものを使用しました。

There are instrument panel, side console and HUD in the cockpit. The quality of molding and tampo printing are suitable to this price. A pilot figure is included in this product, but the reviewer thinks this figure’s mold is bad and doesn’t want to use it. So, HA5701’s is used in this review.

Su-33（Su-27K）は、1985年5月に初飛行した艦載機タイプで、1994年にロシア海軍に就役しました。 同タイプ24機の戦闘機で構成される航空連隊は、ロシアで唯一の空母アドミラル・クズネツォフで編成されました。

武装はベーシックなSu-27に似ており、12のパイロンを備えています。 Su-33はH-25MPなどの誘導ミサイルを搭載できます。 Su-33は、海上において夜間/昼間の両方で運用され、コマンドセンターとKa-31早期警戒ヘリコプターを伴って運用されます。 R-27EMミサイルで対艦ミサイルを迎撃できます。 空対地能力はSu-27SKと同等のようです。 Su-33（Su-27K）は、1985年5月に初飛行した艦載機タイプで、1994年にロシア海軍に就役しました。 同タイプ24機の戦闘機で構成される航空連隊は、ロシアで唯一の空母アドミラル・クズネツォフで編成されました。

離艦距離を短縮し操縦性を向上させる為、パイロットキャビン付近に特別な小翼があります。 カタパルトによる発艦は出来ませんが、Su-33は推力重量比が高く流体力学的に優れているため、通常より多くの揚力を生み出します。 フラッペロンはスロット付きの高揚力フラップに置き換えられ、低速域での揚力が増え制御しやすくなりました。 発着艦速度が低くするため、いくつかの変更が行われました。 可動式の先尾翼が取り付けられており、飛行エンベロープ域全体での操作性と制御性も向上しました。 外翼は折りたたまれ、空母にコンパクトに収納できます。 発着艦中のテールスクレイプ（尻擦り）を回避するために、陸上機タイプのロングテールコーンが短縮されました。 ランディングギアはダブルタイヤに強化され、アレスティングフックも追加、また海軍向けの特別な航法装置も追加されました。

Su-33 (Su-27K) is a carrier-based variant that first flew in May 1985, and entered service in the Russian Navy in 1994. The air regiment comprising 24 fighters of the type was formed up on Russia’s only operating aircraft carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov.

The armament is similar to the basic Su-27, with 12 pylons. The Su-33 can carry guided missiles such as the H-25MP. The Su-33 is used in both night and day operations at sea, and operate with the command center ship and with the Ka-31 early-warning helicopter. With the R-27EM missiles it can intercept antiship missiles. The air-to-ground capability appears to be equivalent to the Su-27SK.

It has extra small wings near the pilots cabin which shorten the take-off distance and improve manoeuvrability. While it is not assisted by a catapault the Su-33 has a higher thrust to weight ratio and also, due to better aerodynamics, generates more lift. Flaperons were replaced with slotted high lift flaps to increase lift and control at low speeds. Due to the lower approach and take off speeds a number of changes were made. Moveable foreplanes were attached which also aided maneuverability and controlability throughout the envelope. The outer wings fold for more compact storage on the aircraft carrier. To avoid tail scrape during landing and take-off the long tail cone on the land based versions was shortened. The landing gear was also streangthened, with a double wheel nose unit, an arrestor hook was added and specialized naval navigational aids were also added.

Squadron and Red 67

ロシア海軍第1飛行隊「イーグルス」は、セヴェロモルスク3に拠点を置く第279独立艦載戦闘航空連隊の一部です。 ロシア北方艦隊の主な行政基地は、バレント海の閉鎖都市セヴェロモルスクにあります。 セヴェロモルスクは、空母アドミラルクズネツォフと第279独立艦載戦闘航空連隊の本拠地でもあります。 同艦はミサイル搭載の巡洋艦かつ空母として機能します。 Su-33 Red 67 s/n 49051006305 は1993年7月に製造され、2016年にアレスティングワイヤー切断のため機体をロストしました。

The Russian Naval 1st Aviation Squadron “Eagles” is part of the 279th shipborne Fighter Aviation Regiment based at Severomorsk-3. The main administrative base for the Russian Northern Fleet is located at Severomorsk which is a closed town on the Barent Sea. Severomorsk is also the home base for the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov and the 279th FAR. The ship serves as a missile carrying cruiser as well as an aircraft carrier. Su-33 Red 67 s/n 49051006305 produced in July 1993 and lost in 2016 when arrestor wires broke.
